Hi, i tried this Toolkit to remove Windows Metro Apps and Store app, but the store app wasnt listed there to be removed ? anyone removed store app from windows 8.1 before ?

 

Why I have my reasons

In Windows 8.1 you need to remove the Windows Store Client package under Advanced Windows Components.

 

You can disable these services at any time after Windows has been installed.

Is there anything special I need to do in order to use the MCT ISO? Or is it the same as from the ISO Downloader mentioned?

 

oh never went there, you sure that it will remove the store app and not anyother thing but keep the store app ?

 

No, nothing special needs to be done.

 

Yes by removing Windows Store Client you remove the Store app.

I also found it strange that Store is not listed among Metro Apps as it is in Windows 10 but in 8.1 there is only the Windows Store Client Package to remove.

 

That would be great as RS2 iso from MCT was not MSMG toolkit friendly.

 

MCT creates ISO with install.esd, the toolkit will never be able to service install.esd directly

 

Oh yeah I always forgot that MCT iso is compressed in esd format. Thks for pointing it out. But I hope that MSMG toolkit may one day be able to automatically detect the MCT iso and extract the install.esd.
