I downloaded the latest updates for Win10 LTSC x64 using WHDownloader. I put them in the right folders, but there are 3 options for ToolKit 8.0 and not sure which to pick. The options are: (1) Integrate to Windows Setup Boot Image (2) Integrate to Windows Setup Install & Recovery Image (3) Integrate to Windows Setup Boot, Install & Recovery Image I am just trying to make an updated ISO with DaRT integrated and plan to save it before I start modifying it.
1 = integrating it in boot.wim index 2 (for starting dart from iso) 2 = integrating it in winre.wim (for starting dart from running windows) 3 = never seen that third option but seems obvious considering, explanation of 1 & 2
I gave the Win 1709 Toolkitedition a try this afternoon. As said before in my german version everthing seems to work WHEN I don't integrate Updates. After the clean install there seems to be no problem when installing the Updates. Feels good :]. Just Windows Defender seems to partly there. Nasty thing.... Besides that everthing seems to work. Games for sure too. The problem with Dishonored 2 seems to be fixed since KB4048955 - OS Build 16299.64 "Addressed issue that causes a black screen to appear when you switch between windowed and full-screen modes when playing some Microsoft DirectX games."
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-264#post-1400076 It was KB4054022 (servicing stack) and kb405451. ,smg was able to get the error to so I just left the things out till it's working . With other versions before 1709 there were no problems like this....in my case .
Integrating DaRT has 2 options like this and I did that already I was referring to integrating the WHD updates as it gives me the 3 options as I listed. Wasn't sure which to integrate them into.
The first option will integrate the updates to the Windows Setup Boot Image and Windows Setup DVD Media. The second option will integrate the updates to the Windows Installation Image and Windows Recovery Image. The third option will do both the first and second option.
1. disable or delete dmwappushservice service: hangs at "getting ready" 2. [Primary package] Microsoft-Windows-Prerelease-Client-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.10586.0 [Secondary package] Microsoft-Windows-DiagTrack-Internal-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.10586.0
Try without Servicing Stack, only Cumulative update. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-277#post-1402590
@MSMG I accidentally removed Windows Search from the start menu where you can search for programs and files. How do you restore that?
@MSMG To remove RS3/RS4 (up to 17074 for now) Hyper-V, the secret is in removing firstly the HyperV-Guest-Networking-SrIov-onecore-Package. e.g. x64 in following sequence : HyperV-Guest-Networking-SrIov-onecore-Package Microsoft-Windows-PAW-Feature-Package Microsoft-Windows-HyperV-Guest-Package Microsoft-Windows-HyperV-Guest-WOW64-Package Microsoft-Hyper-V-ClientEdition-Package Microsoft-Windows-OneCore-Containers-Opt-Package Microsoft-Windows-HVSI-Package P.S Windows-Defender-ApplicationGuard-Inbox-Package (to be confirmed by yourself if it belongs to Windows-Defender or HVSI - Windows Defender Application Guard) [Note] This is the last assistance I can provide you with since I won't post anymore.
Xinso, please reconsider, I don't know why you want to stop posting, but for a lot of users (including me) your posts are most educating and helpful. Cheers.
