Just wanted to mention that there is no entry for manual setup in the packagelist template. Does this mean it can't be removed with package list?
Yes, Manual Setup is not removed using neither ToolKitHelper nor the DISM instead it is directly removed with delete and rd commands, will workout for recognizing manual setup entry and to call the function.
Question about integrating net4.8. I don't know where to put it. The readme says to put 3.5 in packs\netfx35 but I don't see a folder for net4.8,
@MSMG ,In ToolKit Line 13514,"if "%SelectedSourceOS%" equ "w81" echo.##################Starting Integrating WHD Baseline Updates to#################","Starting Integrating WHD Baseline Updates to",but not to target,I advise delete "to",that "Starting Integrating WHD Baseline Updates" In line 14173,"if "%SelectedSourceOS%" equ "w10" echo.##################Starting Integrating WHD General Updates to Install Image#####",these speak finish integrating WHD general updates,so,you may change it correct in next version for ToolKit.
Hi @tefor , Sorry my bad English, I'm from Brazil..! I will try it..!! I thought that DISM would choose the correct order automatically..!!
@MSMG , If I choose 3 + 4 + Yes + 2 + 1 + 2 (WHD), the DISM will choose correct order, or not also..??
The toolkit uses the correct order when WHD integration option is used and the correct updates are placed in the correct folders. As shown to you several times now: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-546#post-1524437
I have couple of questions that I'm asking just to be sure, I hope asking here is ok. In the beginning of this month I've download win10 iso from microsoft which has home, home n, education , education n and pro/pro n versions of windows and from what I've gathered from looking around the education and enterprise are the one that gives you the most control over the privacy settings, yes? I also for removing the preinstalled software that comes with win10 is MSMG the best tool? If its removed from the iso rather than uninstalling wont windows just adding it back after the first update? And should I be stopping updates altogether? As far as the privacy settings, is the manual turning off on everything in the control panel enough or do I need something more special?
When you download each packs from the Toolkit download link and open them with 7-zip you will see the folders for each packs NetFX35, NetFX45 like that and you need to extract the folder to the Packs folder.
1) Before using the Toolkit make sure you have the correct Windows 10 ISO for using with Toolkit, you need the first released version i.e the image without updates integrated. v1809 (10.0.17763.1) v1903 (10.0.18362.1) 2) Removed components won't be restored and yes you can use the windows update to update the OS. 3) Currently the Toolkit can remove these components v1809 (Windows Apps, System Apps and Advanced Windows Components) v1903 (Windows Apps) 4) Currently the Toolkit provides some components related to privacy for removal, in future version more components will be added for removal.
