Glad to see you are in better condition @MSMG Today I applied your wonderful 9.5 kit over 18363.418 es-ES .iso and removed almost everything except Paint and Photo Viewer. Sadly I got some sfc errors here and there after clean installed the OS. The removal seems to have gone fine and the OS seems stable, though. Don't know what to do now, since I did the same process over 17763.1 and the log got clean (not one single error). Do you think this is everything I f**ked up during the process? Thanks beforehand.
The underlined parts are probably projecting a very poor attitude of somebody who has senses of entitlement. Perhaps most of the above is not applicable to you. This is a forum topic dedicated to free software, developed by somebody in their free time. We should all be grateful to @MSMG for that alone - and I have personally thanked them in several of my posts. I think some of the more recent comments in this thread show what is wrong with the world today. A small minority of people expect and demand things for free, because they perhaps feel somehow entitled to it. Sorry, but unless you have paid for this software and/or the time of @MSMG then you should not be expecting a single thing. You should gratefully receive what you have been given - for free. If you don't like it, find and use alternative software, or develop your own.
The GUI development is not dead, it was put under hibernation state due to lack of good health and resources. Will be soon resuming the development and will fast track the process.
For every update the Component removal needs to be update for v1903/v1909, I have checked with the latest update only a minor change was needed and have updated the code. Will release a newer version of ToolKitHelper.exe if possible today, do check out.
When I try to remove components using the Remove Windows Components Using Package List setting MSMG ToolKit states: "Error: Unsupported Windows OS Image ToolKitHelper only support Windows 10 v1809, v1903 & v1909". This happens with every component I try to remove using this setting and I'm using a 18362.1 image. When I try to remove single components it states: "ToolKit component removal only work with the below Source OS Images... Windows 10 v1909 (10.0.18363.418) Source OS.". Why is this?
This has been already mentioned when component removal support for v1909 was added by replacing v1903. The Toolkit's manual component removal only support 10.0.17763.1 and 10.0.18363.418
Ok, but why? So, since I want to integrate the latest updates I should do it over that (18363.418) image? I guess the image will grow bigger on size (when comparing with doing the same process with 18362/3.1 images) so I thought we should integrate updates on 18362/3.1 images.
Since I had to maintain the code for 10.0.18362.1, 10.0.18362.30, 10.0.18363.418 and so I retained only 10.0.18363.418. The Toolkit support 10.0.18363.418 and also any CU above the .418, but may require a new version if there is any major changes done to the removed components.
But integrating the latest updates over a 18363.418 image will make it bigger on size when comparing with doing the same process with 18362/3.1 images?
Stop talking like a righteous fruitcake over and over again. What are you? Forum police? He's right to ask because fact is, its been years long and not weeks long. MSMG can answer it for himself and say what you say like "how much do you pay?" if he wants to. I know he wont. I've done plenty of false promises before and kept quiet about things. Nothing to be proud of. I've at times feel de-spirited for many reasons to not complete what I started off with. Nothing to be proud of. Nothing to be ashamed of either. But it happens. People can and will ask. Also I've seen CHEF KOCH's work, he's a veteran.
no it doesnt it just updates build. from .418 to whatever is the latest i have .446 used .418 image and updated CU and SSU. latest is .477 i think.
So, let me get this straight, may I use a 18362.1 image in MSMG ToolKit to integrate the latest SSU, CU, CU for .Net Framework 3.5 and 4.8 and the EP (Enablement Package)? If so, which update order should I follow (I guess the SSU must be integrated first)? So, it wouldn't appear as if it had two CUs after integrating the latest CU? Would its size be bigger than if integrating the latest updates on a 18362.1 build?
Thanks I'll give my feedback as soon as I check it I remember (after checking the SFC log) that most errors were related to something about "speech" and "drivers". I'll post it if that errors are also present with that new toolkit version. I hope not (fingers crossed) xD
Health is important boss. Stay healthy and keep your resources up. Stuff like this only comes afterwards.
Hope your feeling better and thank you for this awesome tool! I use this all the time to de-bloat my OS's. What a difference from stock windows after running the OS through this gem. Love it!
no it replaces the files to newer CU/SSU. see this post. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-673#post-1562755
That would imply that I implemented some sort of punishment. If people get pushy with the progress of free software I can and will point out that you did not pay for the progress you demand. You certainly get to comment, but, so does everyone else.
