The enterprise ltsb version has the same telemetry things or not?

 

BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA

 

Running enterprise and have blocked all MS URL's in router and some tweaks. Have massive errors in event log for telemetry not working, kernel logger failed to start, so it looks good.

Guys there are so many useless threads on this subject it makes me facepalm.

You guys should know better. This is not a new topic or news for that matter. This has been discussed so thoroughly we are raping the subject.

Now my biggest question is wheres a cute cat meme showing a cat yawning then going back to sleep. That is basically whats going on there your poking a cat that wants to sleep because of the amount of times this has been discussed. There are other ways to skin a cat move on.

 

So much chit-chat and linking unknown new sites, no one posting an actual analyzed sample of network traffic. Come on, people, this is MDL, not Reddit. Any pros here to confirm EITHER statements?

 

Yes it technically has the same telemetry capabilities of the other versions, but it doesn't have Cortana, Metro apps, or Edge and that's where a nice chunk of their datamining comes from.

 

Any one tried Nummer's (WZOR) DWS-lite-app on any win 10 Enterprise versions?

It will not be it possible to avoid espionage, blocking all the IP.
With a silent update, the change and start again.

 

I have been running fiddler, and have checked windows system and browsers, seems to see any connection.

So if you want to see what's going on, when you're not using PC, leave it running and start it after no browsers are running or any live tiles and let it run 7-8 hours.

For anyone who has done the tweaks this should show you what is going out.

 

You can definitely disable it.. Setup a firewall policy on your hardware firewall blocking everything coming out of the Windows 10 PC. Done!

Explain how with Windows Update disabled an update can magically sneak in.
Proof or drop it.

 

Yeah, safest way is to run with WU Service disabled, then either download standalone packages confirmed to work, or disable automatic updates via Gpedit/metered connection, and update every week/month after researching to make sure they don't add new telemetry.

I did have updates OFF, Few days later asking me to restart to finish updates, no idea how that happened either.
