... as regards LTSC, I got the impression (from another post here on MDL) that the apps are contained within the ISO, just simply not provisioned presumably gives the user quick access to packages that they may wish to install... many would hope that this is the case.
Ok so in other words, the script shall be able to detect the deactivated LTSC apps and offer them for installation. Will check this one, seems useful!! Thanks
Thanks! I'll check it out! I'm still making fresh images as I try and choose between LTSC IoT Win 10 or just jumping on the Windows 11 train.
not sure about that, the wording in the post is somehat unclear.. took it to mean that certain packages are avilable/accesed via the/an inbox folder once intalled. However certain posts that I have seen since then would suggest otherwise... e.g. posts on the various methods being proposed for adding Store to LTSC, a package I believe that is/should be important enough to be contained in the inbox folder (if said folder does exist). Having some issues with VMware atm, so can't test it out.
I'm getting this error after running the latest beta release (Optimize-Offline-4.0.1.9-gdeliana-3): Code: WARNING: Failed to import the Optimize-Offline module: "Z:\Projects\OS\Windows\tools\Optimize-Offline\Optimize-Offline-4.0.1.9-gdeliana-3\Optimize-Offline.psm1" I originally thought I was incorrectly modifying the JSON file and so I limited my change to the path of the ISO and I still get the error. The previous release worked fine.
O-O was working, or at least it wasn't throwing errors, when I ran 2022 LTSC through it a few days ago, but I'm waiting for all applicable tools (O-O, W10UI, some activation tool, etc) just to mature a little bit before I wipe 17763 off my machine before jumping. Hope this helps.
So now i am just more confused about what i shall do in code? As you said the apps are not provisioned but are in the ISO, so what remains here to be done is add the feature to provision apps back in the installation media? EDIT: For the store app, i will use the method provided by @KedarWolf . The idea is to make the script automatically download the packages from the site he provided and automatically thereafter integrate them into the offline installation. If this is all what is needed then i have already started working on this
I would think so, appears to be the way @GodHand has got around the issue regarding other packages Dart, Dedup etc. M$ owns GitHub and original author GH hasn't had any problems so far, cross fingers... also the desktopappinstaller(winget) can be configured to use it's own repository (instead of store) also hosted on GitHub [not available for LTSC users unfortunately, 22000+]
