I have encountered a problem with the WSUS proxy PHP method on XP. After installing SP2 for Office 2010 32 enu in mini update tool, Windows Update stops working. It scans for updates endlessly. Already scanned over 8h. After removing SP2 it starts to work again. Are there any workarounds for Office 2010 SP2? EDIT: Installed following Office 2010: Pro Plus, Visio Premium, Project Pro, all VL with integrated SP1 in english from untouched isos.

The Fiddler method abbodi1406 is mentioning is a method to get Windows Update working again. The reason I won't use WSUS if I can help it is because it is incomplete. As a last resort obviously I will, but while Windows Update is still up I won't give up trying to get it working again.

Will do! Actually been telling some other people I know who really want an official workaround that I might make a comeback to YouTube to demonstrate it. Just because I know many want a fix and it would be nice to get one out there before Microsoft closes Windows Update v6 for good. (Kind of wondering why the still haven't considering no OS can actually use the site anymore)

@abbodi1406 When you said I had to set proxy for http/https only, did you mean I had to enable Manual Proxy Configuration?
