This whole thing has made me curious. I ran the UpdatePack7R2-23.1.11.exe, and it immediately offered to download the newer version. I accepted, and the download was successful. As "poor dude" mentioned above, looking inside with 7Z did not show any differences. I even went so far as to extract the file contents with 7Z into two separate directories, and then compared the 2 directories using examdiff. No differences were found. I then ran Smartversion to create a diff file, with this result: smv BuildPatch newsvf.exe UpdatePack7R2-23.1.11.exe UpdatePack7R2-23.2.4.exe 2/04/2023 12:44 407,720 newsvf.exe 1/11/2023 12:10 852,123,560 UpdatePack7R2-23.1.11.exe 2/04/2023 12:04 852,123,424 UpdatePack7R2-23.2.4.exe
Question: Is there a work-around for getting Windows 7 to run on modern hardware WITHOUT requiring "CSM Enabled" in the bios settings? I have an Intel B460 (10th gen.) motherboard running Windows 7, which still requires switching to "CSM Enabled" in the bios settings, in order for Win 7 to boot. In a dual-boot system (on separate SSD's), would prefer leaving "CSM Disabled" for both Win 7 & Win 10/11. Thanks.
I usually download the whole new pack, but this time ran the updater. Both last months and the latest looked to be the same size which was odd but had different hashes, UpdatePack7R2-23.2.4.exe for me shows this: Name: UpdatePack7R2-23.2.4.exe Size: 852123424 bytes (812 MiB) SHA256: 43201f78c13884e131959248065f279c15df5ce0e9ee2d70521c1db499b93ca0
