In my experience, Group Policy has no effect on drivers update. The only thing that worked for me is "Roll Back Driver" in Device Manager.
I did it today, yesterday I was lazy to open the server and remove blocked ip 65.x.x.x The answer is no, this is a well written script but too complicated for the +/- average user, it is with WUMT Gui and you want to this go play with PowerShell script.
Tried this WUMT tool today and it's exactly like Windows update was back in 7! Especially like the fact that you can see the size of updates before downloading them. The "Hide" option works flawlessly as well.(Solving the issue with unwanted driver downloads) It's also a lot faster than Windows own WU. Just download to some folder and put together with wumt_lang.ini, (wumt_lang.ini = your local language), then create shortcut to a convenient location and set it to "Notify only" I give this tool 5 out of 5 possible! This is a total Must have. Thanks shewolf!
So, on Windows 10 Home x64 RS1: How to disable permanently drivers update via WU? Just a reg/script tweak. This machine is for a n00b/standard user, not a power users like you all
Does anyone know how to block automatic VGA driver download and install after fresh 10 install even if WU is set to manual before connecting machine to Internet? It does not use WU according Update History I've seen in WUMT. Please note that only VGA driver is downloaded and installed automatically.
