Read above and you see the answer. I have ask which is the beste Driver and @MoKiChU say the UAD is the best.
But you complained about eq not working. Me too tried those UAD drivers before. Only HDA FF00 drivers worked for me with eq. Your wish what you use.
He's got a different motherboard. MSI X570 Unify with Nahimic. Your board is now legacy that's why HDA drivers are good for you.
Hi, If you are not using Windows 10 64 bit 1809/RS5/17763.x or more recent, you can't use UAD drivers packages. You can use the both (UAD or HDA) with your motherboard (by fulfilling the requirements), but for information, the latest HDA - FF03 drivers that you need for Nahimic, as I pointed out here, are affected by a vulnerability (UAD drivers are not affected by this vulnerability). You can too use latest HDA - FF00 drivers but you will no longer be able to use Nahimic. Note : Refer to this post to know the requirements differences & main differences between UAD/DCH drivers and HDA/Legacy drivers. Hi, You need UAD drivers for your motherboard, but you wanted have the tray icon (which UAD drivers don't have) & your motherboard don't have third party enhancement, so I proposed to you some time ago to switch to HDA - FF00 drivers.
8911.1-5 from microsoft is louder and the bass is punchy, sound seperation is more focused in the center giving a much more punchy experience. use device manger to install the driver, in the unofficial package marked -5 at the end, or just download the cab from catalogue store Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - MEDIA - 6.0.8899.1
Hi MoKiChU, First of all thank you for your effort and all the hard work you've been putting providing these driver updates for years. But I have a general question that was bugging me for some time now: Why they release audio driver versions so frequently? I mean each one of these updates how important are they for the general home user? What are change logs? And how frequent would you recommend to update audio drivers?
Hi, Realtek never provides changelog (third party does not do better), however I can tell you in general that the changes are adds of new hardware IDs, bug/security fixes, improvement of the sound spectrum, support for new games/apps/OS etc ... If you want to minimize updates, I would advise updating 1 time a year, when new drivers are certified for the next major Windows 10 version, as I indicate here, and update on a timely basis if you have problems with a recent app/game. But since I am rather in a philosophy of prevention is better than cure, I still recommend, if possible, to update as soon as you can.
I just wanted to say thank you for doing this. I am a noob and even so, I was able to install this driver on my ASUS CROSSHAIR HERO VIII following your UPDATE instructions. The only hiccup was afterwards in Device Manager it showed the Sonic Studio as an "unknown" driver. However, it was a quick fix by selecting the "unknown" driver and pointing it to the same driver folder as the 6.08918.1 updates. So far it looks like the ROG themed Sonic Studio/Radar, DTS X ultra, Realtek Audio console, etc. are working correctly, no crackling or error messages. Thank you again my good man!
Hi MoKiChU, Can you please elaborate a bit more on why I'd need to install the SSVM? What is the benefit? TIA.
