Should be in this topic somewhere, don't feel like searching, right now. Attached the original 0.9b release. The Github is a bit behind, sadly.
Apparently it was only attached to a post by @DavidXanatos at the top of page 24 in this thread https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-update-manager.77736/page-24#post-1490204, but it wasn't added to GitHub.
And its only going to get worse. They will start removing stuff and making them store only, apps apps drivers and they will start charging you too.
Wont happen, the sheep will carry on regardless. Only people in forums like this will seek an alternative or hope some uber geek finds a way around it.
@pf100 W10 LTSC 1809, what are all the services used by and related to(and including) Windows Update? Cryptographic service keeps resetting itself, apart from deleting the damned thing is there anyway to shut it up permanently?
I'm really the wrong one to answer this question because I concentrate on the forced update tasks and disable the files the tasks try to run because they're all completely unnecessary for the operation of windows or windows updates. Those files only facilitate forced updates. Then having disabled those files, the services don't really do anything, except for wuauserv, which is the only service necessary to do updates. But I'll give it a shot (for LTSC): UsoSvc, WaaSMedicSvc, wuauserv, DoSvc, BITS. I'm probably leaving some out. The first 3 I mentioned are the main ones, the last two are called by one or more of the first 3 under certain conditions but I don't think disabling the last two is important. I've never seen a reason to disable CryptSvc so I don't know why you would do that. But yeah, the only service I directly disable is wuauserv, and I indirectly disable UsoSvc and WaaSMedicSvc by disabling the files started by the tasks that make them do something. Someone who specializes in disabling updates by just disabling services could give you a better answer than the one I just gave you.
Err not really, you dont ask an eskimo about sand you ask an arab. I dont need WU so i can disbale and remove the relevant services. The joy of air gapping thank you pf100 I should've posted this on SledgeHammer, oops, sorry David
@DavidXanatos When using wumgr, while checking for updates, suppose i have windows 10 1809 , than it shows feature pack updates of around 83GB to move to 1903 It is for all languages. Can you please tell me how can i download only single
WuMgr will only download the part you need. It'll be somewhere around a 1 gb download and not an 83 gb download.
1) feature pack is never a 1gb,it is minimum 3gb esd download 2) i will try to post a screenshot, as it is showing download from all languages and not giving a select radio box Edit: Someone already has Posted same error in screenshot, https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-update-manager.77736/page-28#post-1536615 Also if i download on 1 computer can i copy and install on multiple computers?
Someone already answered your question though. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-update-manager.77736/page-28#post-1536618
hello is there any way that windows updates are like those of ltsc? This avoids problems with disastrous updates
It appears that the WUMGR date-format is related to the Windows Language setting. It should be linked to the Windows date-format setting
