    If you disable Windows Firewall service or if its not running you will not be able to download updates with this tool. Quite bizarre. ;)

    Because this tool (wumt) is a front end for WU.
    Now if WF services is off WU can't work.

    WUMT is a front end for WU and don't need internet access, for this no stop no disable windows firewall service interfere with WUMT also even with WU.



    It's not true, before inaccurate comments (it is not the first time you do it) you may want to try.:eek:

    I've the 0x80240022 error when I'm trying to download any update. Manually download and install it works but not from the software. Any clue to solve it ?

    Please forgive me not reading all 600 posts of this thread with my question; I did try searching the thread but came up blank so I'm posting to ask a question.

    Having just discovered wumt (awesome!) I've run into an issue. I have a clean W7P build for which I'd like to get updates down. wumt finds plenty (540) but selecting one and clicking Install results in no download activity. I've tested on another PC and it works flawlessly (albeit W10P). What could be preventing wumt from actually downloading the updates?
