You really don't get it, it's not about importance. An example: Pc's get infected with bots, all those pc's form a botnet, those botnets are used by criminals to attack websites/servers, for fun, or for criminal reasons. You won't even notice your pc is infected but the criminals who control the botnets use your pc for their gain.
Is possible to disable Microsoft Store too. Disconnect all applications from the store and the store itself Reverse, enable it.
thank you very much, your solution is very good. i just tested it and store update working fine. although restart is required to take effect but defender update is not working. is it possible to update defender.? also is there any chance any cu update might remove this registry?

defender update is not working, i used cmd cd %ProgramFiles%\Windows Defender MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate and it throws error ERROR: Signature Update failed with hr=8024002E and also with defender gui definition update doesnt update. thats the only problem with this update blocking method.otherwise its very good for me.
windows_update_toggle.bat in the works for the next version is an automatic hide new updates, making hard blocks unnecessary.
Maybe my engish isn't perfect. I don't want to disable Store but I want to disable Windows Update without breaking Store. StopWinUpdates v2.0 does the job perfectly. Thanks @BALTAGY.
It is also true that one is better off being spied upon by NSA compared to being spied upon by Russia/China(given there is no choice).Reason being that USA is still a functional democracy with checks & balances while other two being not(aka you can make an online crude joke about US prez in USA without fear of disappearing).
