ok, some suggestion to "stupid user". i hope this message go to the developer. because i always reboot manually, it would be nice if wumt wouldn't put dialog box about reboot. instead it would put yellow triangle somewhere in the corner, this could be an option or default setting.
i don't fully get your point. i always click "no" to that question. when i click "no" it start searching again. maybe if wumt doesn't research or it goes automatically to research and shows message in main window, not in a separate window.
Is the WUMT project dead (last update december 2016?) Is there a fix that reports the right download data?
I think you have to first check for updates with regular windows update, and then wumt will show proper file size. has to do with uup iirc edit: Wrong filesize more explanation
I mean the green download bar showing how much that is left to download. Sometimes it says: Downloaded 5MB when it has actually downloaded 1GB. Also the green download bar tends to get stuck a lot. (showing very inaccurate values sometimes).
I just managed to find out about this program, I wanted to go for aye to debian and kubuntu because of microsoft update arbitrary reasons, now I try much more time with ms windows 10 pro. Thank you
this may be partially because of windows updated components, wumt uses wu components and wu component downloads big files in a annoying way. basically in chunks, meaning that sometimes it downloads and sometimes it doesn't.
It downloads only the missing parts and verifies the rest. That lessens the required download bandwidth, but can be slow at times (probably because it has to meddle with the compressed resources inside the WinSXS directory).
Microsoft has damaged the right lifestyle, while the founding programmers retired, the other bad guys from the new school come to send us tons of useless gigas every month, lazy programmers. today there is no more individual update, there is no delta update, so you have to download the cumulative every month, even if you do not need to update the rest, if in fact all the other parts was updated since previous months, wasting alot of time, bandwidth and I / O activity, I understand that this has no solution but at least you can defer the optional update and non security kb with update minitool.
The garbage can is not active in my case, hence my question. i thought for a moment you meant to remove the MiniTool itself...
You have to search (the first icon from the left) at least once. Then when the list are already populated the click on the "Installed" button. After that you have to select the installed updated that you wish to uninstall. Also internet connection is a must. (Just in case you are using this tool on a homelab vm environment)
I installed 17133.1 via ISO , it is without water mark and activated via kmspico , now updated it to 17133.73
