WuMgr is Open Source, and it is actively developed. WUMT is closed source and dormant since Dec. 2016.
I just downloaded it, and selected offline mode and i have bits & wauserv services disabled already How I can search for updates this way ?? because all buttons are disabled
Also works on Windows 2000, with some deficiencies. Just doesn't make much sense anymore to check for updates on Win2K...
There are strange people that wandering around the internet, they picked up pieces of strange ideas "I can change Windows". So they are born various scripts and weird compilations which do not serve anything but they can do boring damage to your operating system. Once a week there (Windows/boot) will be cleansed crap from the system and sanitized system file, created by the launch of various buls**t scripts and programmers who walks through the forums by acting as a great "expert". Leave your Windows as is by default, you do not need to disable any services, proceed to apply as prescribed. And he does not speak "Guten Tag"
I see that "script guys" have started to disable Upfc.exe. I'm ready to bet that they will end up disabling Service.exe too. It was enough just to ask with a word and I explained what and how Upfc.exe work, for free of course.
