So next week i'm gonna install win7(using debian for a bit here), any other steps to take other than what i've always been doing? Should i let the sucker update or turn them off? I've always installed whatever i needed and updated until there are no more updates before disabling the updates, i dunno if that's the correct way but it works and worked... Anything to look out from now on?
Hi bro just out of curiosity and oszone staff gave some official information about what they will do... Thank you
The project Bypass Windows 7 Extended Security Updates Eligibility has got its own dedicated thread here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-extended-security-updates-eligibility.80606/ Please post anything related it there.
abbodi1406 PM'ed me before introducing HIS idea/project and asked for permission to post. He's given credits to everybody involved.
I see thanks. I was more and i am more worried about the browsers and things like steam and gog moving away from Win7 more.. Sadly that's probably inevitable. Otherwise you guys are awesome ever since we had to go away with XP i've been using things from this forum. PS: Sorry about the offtopic.
I'm trying to help my parents migrate their Win7 OEM. I've been reading and lurking. Windows is starting to make sense to me. I've done what I would do for myself successfully: 1) Made a VMWARE clone of my mom's Win7 OS and activated license inside like this: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/vmware-workstation-slp-slic-bios-efi-mod.64693/ 2) yesterday I ran gatherosstate.exe and used the genuinecertificate.xml to activate a VMWARE Win10 running inside an unlicensed installation of Win10 on a gigabyte ga-z87-ud5h motherboard 3) and used that licence to activate a fresh VirtualBox Win10 running on my z390 hackintosh. So far so good, but that license didn't activate the primary OS installation for obvious reasons. (haven't tried phone but a new motherboard wouldn't work, right?) WHAT MY MOM AND DAD want is a licensed Windows 10 on the never successfully licensed UEFI, gigabyte ga-z87-ud5h. I could use some advice on what to read next that is up-to-date, and maybe some other lurkers can follow along.
By OEM you mean by slic+cert+oem:slp? And you want to install 10 on new hardware and get a free hwid? The gigabyte ga-z87-ud5h still has CSM so you can simply install 7* on it and activate by DAZ loader and either upgrade to 10 or go the gatherosstate.exe route and generate a genuineticket.xml and clean install 10, and next apply the genuineticket.xml to get the HWID activation. *Install 7 SP1 Pro or Ultimate, so you can get win 10 pro for free.
I just found a post from you explaining how to get around the first problem I had with the DAZ (Unsupported partition table Problem) and I'm reading the thread it refers to but haven't tried it yet https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-7-uefi-help.78514/#post-1488245 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/daz-loader-unsupported-partition-table-problem.74680/ Thanks for the response!
Looks like it's https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-extended-security-updates-eligibility.80606/ (the original creators). And it seems they too think the 4.7z is 4.7 And who the f**k is notebookcheck?
